Summary: Robin took his best men except Will Stutely and armoured himself and took and a good broadsword and went out to seek the Friar of Fountain of Abbey. He found a fat man at resting under a tree which he asked for wine and he gave it to him, drank it and asked him to it take him across the river to find the Friar. The friar agreed and took him across then threatened to kill him if take back so he did and on the way stole the Friar’s sword then made the Friar take him across. Half way through the river then pitched him into it and Robin called his men and friar Tuck called some dogs on robin so robin climb the nearest and then he the dogs and the Friar joined them and surprised Will Scarlet was with them.

Main Character: Friar Tuck: He is developed in the way that he started as a fat, happy, purposeless friar and he became a awesome member of Robin Hood's band and ended up being the one to marry together Alan and Ellen. 

Quote: "I am a good man and would not refuse a thristy man" This shows that the Friar is a good man and will make a member of Robin's band. That's why it's so important.
