Summary: The Sheriff of Nottingham sends out messengers to hunt robin for prize and they go as far as the Blue Boar. One of the messengers asks a tinker to find Robin Hood for him and he agreed so the next morning he finds him and Robin gets the tinker to have some ale with him then tricks the tinker into getting drunk and falling asleep. Then takes the warrant from, pays the innkeeper and leaves. They meet again and tinker attacks him and he fights back well but then his staff breaks and tinker makes him plea for mercy. But he blows his bugle horn and they stopped and joins their band. Then sheriff goes to the king and asked him to help disband Robin Hood’s band but the king insults him and sends him back. So he makes up an archery contest to trap Robin Hood but Robin disguises himself and wins a prize from the sheriff. Then sends a note to him saying Robin Hood was the one who won.

Main characters:
Tinker: Started out as a greedy, prideful forester but then was tricked and almost killed by Robin then had the chace to kill robin but robin call for help to himself and joined Robin's band.

Sheriff of Nottingham: Tried to get the messengers to catch Robin and then tried to get the King to disband robin's band of yeoman. Then he tried to get archery contest to trap Robin but was tricked. So I the Sheriff just wants other people to do his dirty work and he should do it. 

Setting: Depths of Sherwood, London Town and the Archery Contest 1150's-1160's 

Quotes: The following quote "But one of his band spoke up, "The contest is a trap for you" this shows that robin's band of yeoman look out for him. This next quote "Gill o' the Red Cap nodded "I'll do my best sir" this shows that Gill is loyal and hard working for the sheriff.
